Jam Al Jazz and Barbican Nights join forces for an evening of live Jazz music
Arabic melodies meet jazz improvisation in an intimate night of live music, spontaneous collaboration and creative connection.
Join us for Jam Al-Jazz x Barbican nights collaboration, a special evening where the sounds of Arabic music meet the freedom and energy of jazz improvisation, blues, folk classical and more.
Bringing together classically trained jazz instrumentalists and vibrant improvisers, this evening creates a space for musical traditions to meet and evolve. From the warm tones of the oud to the deep resonance of the double bass, expect soulful solos, unexpected collaborations and moments of spontaneous musical exchange producing an eclectic mix of styles.
The evening will feature a 45-minute performance by the Jam Al-Jazz collective, followed by a short break before opening up into a 40-minute open jam; inviting musicians and audiences alike into the spirit of improvisation.
This event is part of A Season of Arabic Culture, aiming to share culture from the Arabic-speaking world to those who live, work and pass through the City of London. Please view our programme for A Season of Arabic Culture here.
