Often considered the most beautiful female voice of North Africa, Souad Massi has forged her reputation over the course of a career spanning more than 20 years, dubbed the Tracy Chapman of the Maghreb. Alongside her musical career, in 2005, she became a United Nations Ambassador for micro-credits, to help women in Africa.
